21st Century Travel Insurance Plan
PREMIUM RATE TABLES | (Effective June 15, 2009)
All applicants use Table 1 unless
Age 70 – 85 and applying for “Stable Chronic Condition”
Option.
$10,000 Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage is included with every policy to each insured person at NO extra premium (excluding Flight Accident Insurance).

Expanded "Territorial Limitation" to extend coverage to side trips to other countries before, during or after
the visit to Canada.
-
Coverage is now provided for complications of pregnancy that happen outside of the 9-week period before and the 9-week
period after the expected delivery date if the pregnancy commences after the effective date of thie policy.
BROCHURES HIGHLIGHTS:
-
Applicants are NOT
eligible for coverage under this plan if :
- enter Canada during a time that a “Physician” has
advised them not to travel; and/or
- have been diagnosed with a terminal illness with
less than two (2) years to live; and/or
- have a kidney condition requiring dialysis; and/or
- have used home oxygen during the 12 months prior
to the date of application.

There is a $50 deductible per person per policy for those under 86, unless the insurance is purchased with “$O”
deductible, with additional 5% premium surcharge.
-
A new $250 deductible option is available with 10% reduction to the base rate.
-
$500 deductible for those age 86 and over.
-
Excludes medical conditions during
the 180 days period prior to the effective day of
each insurance policy, including renewal policy.
-
Stabilized pre-existing conditions
are covered if certain conditions are fulfilled.
-
Minimum $25 premium per policy.
-
Coverage is provided for uninterrupted flight directly to Canada.
-
72 hours waiting period if the insurance
is purchased within 30 days of the
insured’s arrival.(For age up to 85).
-
7 days waiting period if the insurance
is purchased 31 days or more after
the insured’s arrival. (For age up to 85).
-
15 days waiting period for sickness.
(For age 86 and over).
-
Waiting period could be waived or
modified if other coverage with another insurer is
in force and there is no gap in coverage. Proof must
be provided.
-
Maximum coverage per policy: 365 days
(extendable). (For age up to 85).
-
Maximum coverage up to the first
180 days (Non-Extendable) upon arrival in Canada for
age 86 and up.
-
Additional $50,000 of accidental
bodily injury coverage with the $100,000 option.
-
Family rate: All children under age
21 are covered for free if traveling with parents
or guardians. (2 times the oldest applicant's total premium).

Children’s coverage: minimum 31 days
old.
-
No waiting period if the insurance is purchased before the insured's arrival.
